The MilkyWay over the Everglades appeared an hour after the sunset
The sun had set, and I waited with my friend for about an hour for the sky to darken enough to see the amazing Milkyway in the Southwestern sky. That large light just above the horizon was a small plane flying across the sky towards us. Taken: 10-24-2022

The Milky Way – Everglades National Park
I got up at 11:30pm to head out to the Everglades to meet some fiends to capture the Milky Way. The skies were clear with a cool wind blowing from the Northwest. The moon was about half full and it set around 2:45am giving us beautiful dark skies to photograph the Milky Way.
The Milky Way over Everglades National Park
From Wednesday’s Early morning session. This is the open area with solution holes on the way to the Nike Missile base in the Everglades National Park. The night sky was brilliant. Off in the distance was a strange line. I could not tell what it was at first, but when I zoomed in closer, it turned out to be layers of fog. There is a solution hole in the foreground that I lit up with my flashlight. This milky way image is made up of 10 images that I stacked to remove noise.
