House of Refuge at Gilbert’s Bar, Hutchinson Island, Florida
It was full low tide along the Hutchinson Island when I visited the House of Refuge. I climbed down to the beach to stand before the Anastasia Formation to photograph the sunrise.
The Roosevelt Bridge
The Roosevelt Bridge is an incredibly photogenic landmark that connects U.S. Route 1 across the St. Lucie River in Stuart, Florida. This was taken about 4:45am, not much going on, but the area was empty and we could shoot.

Hollywood Beach Photography
I took an early morning stroll along the broadwalk of Hollywood Beach and collected some wonderful images of that morning. The humidity was high creating a unique glow of the lights along the walkway. The sky was dark when I first got there and hardly anyone was about. The wind was almost still and there was a large storm cloud offshore with an occasional lightning bolt lighting the large cloud. As the sun rose, the colors became more pronounced and the night slowly turned to day.
