House of Refuge at Gilbert’s Bar, Hutchinson Island, Florida
It was full low tide along the Hutchinson Island when I visited the House of Refuge. I climbed down to the beach to stand before the Anastasia Formation to photograph the sunrise.

The Roosevelt Bridge is an incredibly photogenic landmark that connects U.S. Route 1 across the St. Lucie River in Stuart, Florida. This was taken about 4:45am, not much going on, but the area was empty and we could shoot.
Carysfort Reef Lighthouse
Carysfort Reef Lighthouse is located about six nautical miles east of Key Largo, Florida
The light is about 100 feet above the water and was completed in 1852. Carysfort Reef is named for HMS Carysfort (1766), a 20-gun Royal Navy post ship that ran aground on the reef in 1770.
