Crabtree Falls, NC
Hiked up to Crabtree Falls in North Carolina – It’s at Milepost 339.5 off the Blue Ridge Parkway and it’s supposed to be a trail that descends .9 mile to the base of the falls, but it is not as easy as some people lead you to believe. At the base of the spectacular Crabtree Falls, the water cascades over a 60-foot rock cliff. It is a beautiful waterfall and the hike is well worth the effort.
Grassy Creek Falls, NC
Grassy Creek Falls, NC This was a long hike to find and some barriers to overcome but it was so worth the effort.
Soco Falls, North Carolina
Soco Falls is a double waterfall not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. It’s a few minute walk down a maintained trail that leads to a viewing platform off Highway 19.
There is a short steep trail leading down to the smaller fall and the creek below the falls. This trail is very slippery near the falls and has a rope instead of a wood rail. Not recommended if you are carrying heavy gear.
