Long Pine Key – Everglades

Hoping and waiting to catch the light and clouds just right. On this day, I left my home and saw clouds in the sky – only to arrive at this location to see the skies had completely cleared. I got my camera &  tripod setup then waited for the morning glow at Long Pine Key in the Everglades National Park. I took several long exposures and even a few HDR’s as the light brightened on the horizon. Nature’s beauty appears in the  moments between light and dark.  (3/8/2014)

Sunrise at Dania Beach

Photos by Lee Smith

The morning was dark and overcast. There was barely any wind and the seas were calm. The break in the clouds was enough to display a glow of the sun as it rose in the distance. The colors of the lights ofrom the Fishing Pier restaurant reflected on the surface of the water making interesting images to enjoy. (Click on the photos for a larger view)

Photos at Coral Cove, Tequesta, Florida

Photos by Lee Smith

The morning was stormy and raining, but we were determined to get some photos after an hour drive to Jupiter. The sun rose behind the clouds – making the sky light up with a strong orange glow.  The light rain made the photography difficult having to hold an umbrella in one hand and the camera & tripod in another.  (Click on a photo for a larger view)
