Afternoon View at the Deering Estates
I was awestruck when I saw this. I stood under the arch enjoying a cool breeze on the veranda during this hot day. All I could think of, was for how many years has this view been here and how lucky I felt to capture it on this day to share. The wood house was first built in 1900, the other stone building was built around 1922.

Bog Swamp Lilies

The Bog Lily, Swamp Lily otherwise known as Crinum americanum it grows in the ponds, shorelines and is native to swampy areas of the Southeastern United States. Crinum americanum thrives in a full sun, but will grow in partial shade. The foliage is comprised of strapping leaves, the true highlight of this plants are its white lily flowers that come during late spring and summer.
