Humpback Whale off the Alaskan Coast
This was one of the highlights of my trip, seeing a humpback whale off the coast of Alaska… I was lucky to be sitting with my camera gear when I saw the spray from the blow hole when the humpback whale broke the surface. I have a series of shots, but it was when the whale dove, I took this shot.
High Atop the Trees
I walked up the 5 stories of stairs of the Observation Tower at Anne Kolb Nature Center to look out across preserve. I noticed some leaves rustling at the top of a tree – about 45 feet off the ground. I found this small raccoon nibbling away and balancing with each step on the small branches.
