Flying Between the Branches – American Bald Eagle – South Florida

by Lee Smith

Flying between the branches for an eagle is easy, but for a photographer trying to follow, a royal pain.

The Everglades Wildlife

There is always something flying, crawling or walking in the Everglades. You never know what you will find.

Eagle in Flight

Following the eagles in Pembroke Pines, I waited for the eagle to leave the nest and took a series of photos to get on decent one.

Mother Eagle Feeding Baby Eaglet – Pembroke Pines, FL

It was a bright cloudless day in Pembroke Pines.  I decided to take a quick trip to see Broward’s only known eagle nest. I was hoping to see one of the eaglets in the nest. After 150 shots, I could not tell how the photos came out because of the bright light and photographing south into the sun, but when I got home and reviewed the images – I one got one photo where I could see the eaglet.
