A quiet morning as the sun rises across the bay at shoreline of Coconut Grove, Florida. The colorful sunrise and stillness of the water reflected the beauty of the moment.
Early morning photo shoot at The Charles Deering Estate in Old Cutler, Miami, Florida
Charles Deering lived on the 444 acres of property along Biscayne Bay from 1922 to 1927. The property consists of a three story wooden house built in 1900, the Richmond Cottage, and a three story stone mansion. The grounds are amazingly landscaped and offer a beautiful glimpse of the Florida’s past.
The grounds include what is thought to be the largest virgin coastal tropical hardwood hammock in the continental United States. There is also walkway through the Mangroves just north of the famous Palm Tree lined dock area that leads to The Cutler Burial Mound – a prehistoric mound on the Charles Deering Estate. It is one of the few surviving prehistoric mounds in Miami-Dade County.
