Haulover Surfing in 1974

I was fortunate to have a camera with a long lens to take photos of people surfing back in the early 70’s. These are a few of those photos

Photos of Miami Beach from 1974

These moments of time were taken in March-April in 1974 at several locations in Miami. Shot with a Yashica 35mm camera on film, that I later converted to digital images. I wish I still had that old camera.

Clouds can make a beautiful center for a photo.

South Florida Sunrise

The beach is a magical place when the sun is at the horizon. The skies turn colors, the water reflects the light and the beach becomes alive with life.

Haulover Beach at Sunrise

As the sun rose up from behind the horizon, the clouds, colors  and light displayed some incredible images.

A Dark Sunrise

Sometimes we are all faced with gloom in a moment of life, but it will pass. The clouds were dense and the winds were strong. This long exposure flattened the sea, giving the image the illusion of a small measure of calm amidst the nature’s fury.
